The basic structure of oil level gauge

The Pointer Oil Level Gauge (from now on referred to as the oil level gauge) applies to the oil level display of the Oil Immersed Transformer oil conservator and on-load tap changer oil conservator as well as the alarm of the lowest and highest limit oil level.

The oil level gauge is mainly composed of the display part composed of a pointer and dial, the alarm part consisting of the magnet (or cam) and switch, and the transmission part consisting of a reversing and variable speed gear set, swing rod, and float ball.

Installation of oil-level juice

An oil-level gauge with a floating ball-shaped swing rod should be installed in the center of the end cover of the oil conservator, and the swing rod should swing radially. Other oil level gauges with floating ball-type swing rods should be installed at the lowest oil level in the oil conservator. The telescopic rod-type oil level gauge for the diaphragm oil conservator shall be installed at the highest oil level of the oil conservator. During the installation of the oil level gauge, it must be ensured that the movable space of the swing rod and the floating ball is not interfered with by any structure.

Inspection before installation of oil level gauge

Before installation, check whether the oil level gauge is damaged and rusted during storage and transportation, and install it after treatment.

Before installing the oil level gauge, gently and slowly pull the swing rod to rotate flexibly and reliably and signal at the extreme position.

Before installing the oil level gauge, check whether the lead cable, outlet terminal, and signal switch are well insulated.

Maintenance of oil level gauge

The oil level gauge shall be checked once a year during operation. Check whether the lead wire and switch are well insulated and whether the sealing gasket needs to be replaced.
